HOW TO GET FAITH
Shalom women of God. Welcome back to the faith series. I missed you all. I believe that you are doing well and that you are being blessed even as we establish knowledge and understanding of faith.
We have gone through the need for faith and what faith is. We have established that the 21st-century woman is faced with many challenges and she can overcome them the same way our fathers overcame – by faith. We then defined faith as a concrete spiritual entity that releases blessings from our heavenly Treasury of Hope. Our next expedition is to find out how you can get faith.
Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God.
Faith is only given by God. He is the originator of faith. And in His immeasurable wisdom, He has shrouded faith in His Word. Faith is the secret entity He has placed in His Word that is given unto every one that hears His Word. Faith, therefore, comes only after one hears the Word. There is no other way to receive faith.
I must add that the treasury of hope has many departments. There is first the gate that is opened by the faith of Salvation. Then there are several doors behind which lie several blessings like healing and health, wealthy peace, marital blessings, fruits of the womb, etc. Each department holds it’s own category of blessing. So the faith of salvation will not necessarily bring you wealth, nor health.
The faith given by God to sinful man is to open the gate to the Treasury of hope but to take up the detailed goodies, that man must hear the word again. So the word on healing and health will release faith for healing. The word for fruitfulness will release the faith for fruitfulness and so on.
Some time ago while in university, I had married and was pregnant. In fact, I did not have a good track record concerning my grades prior to this period and there I was with pregnancy. Not only that, but I was also a leader in 2 ministries each of which was demanding. I remember the countless times I convinced myself that the Lord would help me with my grades because I was serving Him. Well, things went from worse to worst so I went back to God and bitterly complained that He was unfair to me. That was when He showed me that if I wanted to better my grades, I should look for the word that will release my faith. I did and guess what? I had better grades than I had had in all my previous 4 years of med school.
See, the problem you are facing right now is at the mercy of the word, the Rhema, of God for that situation. And when you find that word and you hear it, your faith shall be released and there will be no stopping your testimony.
